Instantly stylish, silver is one of the most versatile and wearable metals you can choose for your Rebus ring. Hand engraved by our award winning team, your silver signet can be paired with any outfit and is bound to catch the eye. As with our other precious metal signet rings, these are never mass produced and are hand made to order in our London workshop, especially for you.
Rebus silver signet rings are made from Sterling Silver (925 parts of silver per thousand) and are a good option if gold or platinum is out of your budget. Unless you wear your signet ring every day, as it is designed to be worn, Sterling Silver can tarnish but is easily cleaned. Silver is the softest precious metal and will wear more quickly than gold and platinum. However, they do look excellent when seal engraved with your crest, initials or emblem.
Silver works perfectly for all face sizes: 14mm x 12mm, our best-selling gentleman’s signet ring, the 16mm x 13mm for larger hands and the 13mm x 11mm for ladies or a slender gentleman’s hand. Our 11mm x 9mm face size is specially designed for smaller hands.

Deep seal engraving
Traditional deep seal engraving is the most popular method of engraving signet rings. We create your design by carving deeply into the metal, hand engraving the design in reverse.
Once the seal engraving is completed, we use the engraved signet ring to produce a 3d wax impression - the seal. Your ring will arrive presented in a beautiful gift box, with an encapsulated impression of your design and a wax taper to make your own seals. If you would prefer for us to engrave your design as it is seen on paper, i.e. not in reverse, please let us know by using the comment box found in your shopping bag. read less
Surface cut engraving
As with seal engraving, surface engraving is produced by hand, using handheld gravers. In fact, it's the same technique used by traditional bank note engravers.
Unlike seal engraving, we don't carve deep into the metal - instead, we create the design by cutting hundreds of lines of varying widths and depths until the design comes to life. This method is ideal for cufflinks and it also looks effective on signet rings, but does not have the same longevity as seal engraving. read less
